The major advantage of Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi is that it’s a family saga and nowadays, hardly anyone makes such a film. ‘ Sometimes the greatest love stories are the one that stand the test of time’… that’s what Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi tries to state and it does it wonderfully. The tragedy and the resultant circumstances compel Chandni to back off from marrying Prem. But on the day of the engagement, tragedy struck in Chandni’s family. Chandni’s father (Alok Nath) and Prem’s mother (Smita Jayakar) also approve of this relationship and give a go-ahead for their engagement and marriage. In the course of this journey, both fall in love with each other. Both get selected and get a chance to perform together at the national level. The story of the movie: Chandni (Eesha Koppikhar) and Prem (Sonu Sood) meet each other in a music competition. However Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi, like Vivah, works big time chiefly for its simplicity. But let’s get one thing straight-both the films deal with the institution of marriage but both are as different as chalk and cheese-in terms of storyline, execution and emotions. After the successful Vivah, Barjatyas are back with Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi.
